Goose hunting in standing corn question

Recommended Posts

The spots I have for goose hunting is in standing corn next to corn that has been chopped for sileage. We had alot of geese circle around once or twice then take off. They were flying right over us and I think they might have been seeing us sitting in the corn. Anyone have any good ideas or advice for our situation?

We shot one and missed another but had a great time. I got to bring my 11 year old hunting buddy out on her first hunt with her own gun.

My guess is your continuing to call the birds as they are above you?? What happens is they zero in on where the calling is coming from and they see it's from the corn and about 20-30 yards away from the closest thing that looks like a goose. We always shut down calling when the birds are circling and above or near us. Lets them lock in on your hide.
