Terrova - Ipilot Storage

I always take my batteries and depth finders out of the boat for winter storage and keep them indside. This year I bought a Terrova with Ipilot, and am wondering if anyone has any thoughts about storing that outside and if cold could affect the GPS in it.

i bought mine last year and it was stored (last winter) in the attach garage and gps seems to ok this year. But, maybe its a good idea to consult the manual or call Mink Kota.

If it were me and you have the space I would store it inside. I store my regular Minnkota on my boat in storage but with the GPS Im not sure.

I would be more worried about the big magnets for the motor than the GPS equipment.

If you can, try to bring it inside. If not, the risk is more to the motor than the 'brains'.

Agree with Chode 2235 - There should be no worries about freezing unless you somehow have water in the motor.
