I've caught perch's here and there on various lakes by accident on crank baits but have never been successful fishing for them. When i do try i fail what is a good approach to fishing for them if you know they are down there? How i try to fish for them is using a small hook and a leech and small weight drop to the bottom then just hold it about 1 feet off the surface... am i doing something wrong?
