Jigging rod replacement for skyline 6007?

Recommended Posts

I am looking for advice on a rod blank to replace an old skyline 6007, its a stiff action one piece rod I would consider a 2 piece if the feel was great. Will be for jigging and live bait mostly and a spinning pole.

If you're looking to find a rod that has similar action(tip speed) and power(lifting ability), custom rod builders have a method available to them called the Common Cents System. It measures the action and the power of a rod using objective measurements. It will not tell you if a rod is fast or slow, or if it is a medium or heavy. What it will tell you is if a rod is faster or slower than another rod or has more or less lifting ability than another rod.

Using your Skyline 6007 as a baseline I can find a rod blank with the same action and power measurements and build the rod as you want it.

If you want more info on how this system works check out http://www.common-cents.info/.

I'd like to help you so let me know if you're interested.
