Places to stay week before The 4th

Hello Devils Lake experts!

Want to come up for some of your famous fishing this summer, but I'm striking out at Woodlands Resort because they're already full for the week before the 4th of July. I know it's short notice (and Sue's Travel Agency is closed this week), but can anyone point me in the direction of someplace really nice that might have an opening?

I say really nice because the wives are coming, and while I could do bunks, they certainly will want fancier accommodations. 4 adults, 1 kid, and 3 dogs altogether. Will be towing our own Lund, so on the water would be great.

Not shopping for bargains... looking to splurge a little so the ladies might want to come again next year!

I stayed there before. The cabins are actually pretty nice but you would have to pull your boat in and out each night...atleast we did when we stayed there a couple of years ago. Things could have changed since then.
