Thanks Fishing Minnesota!

This is sorta off the topic of fishing, but it has to do with how great of a community FM has made here.

I've met a number of random people on the ice and shore fishing who were members of FM or atleast read the forums and were thinking of signing up (and sounded more interested in signing up for it after we had talked ). This is a neat thing for me. I've been to a few gatherings, and have had a lot of fun at each one.

I've been really busy this summer, so my presence on the forums and out and about fishing has been a lot less this year . but I still do try to keep up with the Metro forums and open water as best I can....

I am really glad to see something like this work. It is really great when you can get a bunch of people together that are passionate about something and share their interest/knowledge/etc with others.

Fishing Minnesota is the inspiration and what built my confidence for my biggest project: I am trying to start a non-profit community for Minnesota gamers.

I'm refering to board/tabletop/minatures/unique-collectible card games/role-playing here, not gambling or video games, lol.

I'm not trying to make this into a commercial ad, as its not. I'm just trying to contribute to another community I am deeply involved in in the same way Fishing Minnesota has done so much for connecting Anglers. Were still realtively small and concentrated to most of the metro (though we have a few members outside that) though I am hoping that will change soon!

Once again thank you Rick, Paul, and everyone else who made Fishing Minnesota possible. I will continue to be a supporter of Fishing Minnesota and will try to attend meets and get togethers as time permits.
