bucketmouth64
Doctor friend asked me if I knew anything about Nissan boat motor. I don't. I told him my fellow FM'ers would know. It is a 2 stroke tiller motor, not sure of year but he thinks it's 2000 or newer, hp is either a 40 or 60. Anyone have info. about this make of motor good/bad. It's attached to a crestliner boat that's he's interested in buying.
jtroop
I had a 90hp Nissan for 3 years. Bought it used. Never had a single problem. I believe it is a rebadged Tohatsu. The dealer pool is a little shallow so that might be an issue for you.
delcecchi
They supply small motors to mercury, for what that is worth.
Musky_Madness
bulletproof motors! i had a 25hp that ended up submerged while running (long story)! Removed the plugs and pulled on it for a little bit to work out the water. put plugs back in and vroom first pull it was back. lots of power too. we could tube/kneeboard through our teens behind it. It also started on fire because of a fuel line leak under the cowl and still never had any problems with it after the facr. fire was brief as it just burned off the gasoline vapor and gas quickly.
