Fish ID? (PIC)

We were out on Lake Zumbro anchored in 15 FOW. My son had a slip bobber down around 8 foot with a hunk of worm and picked up this. I'm not quite sure what it is. At first I thought maybe a striper bass. But then looking at its mouth and how its slightly pointed downward I thought maybe it was some type of sucker/carp?

It is a good old sheephead, or freshwater drum, they can actually grow quite large I believe over 50 lbs. in certain areas.

There are a LOT of those sheephead in the 2 pound range on Lake Zumbro.

I believe that may be a different subspecies of the sheepies I'm used to seeing. Usually they are much lighter in color in both the body and fins. But it does have the shape, mouth, and dorsal of a sheep.
