Lake Miltona Fishing Report

Weather has a big role in capitalizing on a day on the ice lately. This last Saturday was a great day on the ice, a little windy but the temp. was great and the fishing was as well. Changing weather on Sunday and Monday made it a challenge, but that's why we fish. Sunfish are becoming active in the shallows, as well as the crappies. Look for the thick standing weeds in the 8 to 13 foot depths. Pimples and Forage minnows with waxworms have been producing the bigger fish. Jumbo Perch are on the edge of the weedlines, rangeing in depths from 8 to 20 foot. Remember, being active on days you can are most productive. Have fun on the ice and be careful though it's slippery, I mean very slippery. Use caution when being active on the nice days.
