I went spearing this morning and got a nice 27" and put in the back of the truck. About 30 minutes later a bigger one swam in, about 10-12 pounds, and the one in the truck starts going nuts. The whole time leading up to that it never moved. It had to of been a coincident, but it was like it sensed there was another northern around and got mad. I sure thought it was weird.

Same thing happens to me only it's the dog that starts making noise.

I've noticed that many times over the years while walleye fishing. About the time the bite picks up after a lull, the 'eyes I have in the bucket will start flopping around like crazy. I've always wondered what that's all about. Telepathic fishy communication?

Thanks sham I was spearing today and I had stuck one about a 15min earlier and I put in a plastic bag behind my chair and all of a sudden the fish starts flopin in the bag all I could think about was you post so I grabbed my spear and got in the take em postion and nothing.. happen several times and no fish swam in so it meant nothing
