1997 BUICK REGAL GS 3.8 SUPERCHARGED?

Recommended Posts

It spits and sputters when given gas. I put a code reader on it and the codes are PO300 (random misfire) and PO131 (o2 sensor circuit low voltage bank 1 sensor 1) Will a PO131 cause the PO300 and where is this o2 sensor located. Thanks for the help really cant afford to bring it to a mechanic.

Funny, We have a SW MN moderator with the same problem.

Here's what you can do. Unplug the MAF and see if that helps, sometimes tapping on them will make them work/flake out more. Check fuel pressure should be roughly 35 psi. Unplug the O2 sensor and see if that helps, it is located on the rear exhaust manifold dead center.

Does it idle fine and then just loose power an acceleration?
