fuzzyray
Hey all. I know this is an off season topic, but it's something that has been on my mind for far too long! This winter I made up a mess of leadheaded jigs. I got the mold from my dad. It got me thinking that it would be nice to make some ice jigs as well. Does anyone know if there are any molds available for this? I've done quite a bit of searching with no success. Also, anyone know of any local sources of lead for making jigs? I live near St. Cloud. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!------------------'Carpe Diem' does not mean 'fish of the day'

fuzzyray
I've heard that you can get lead at a tire place but what about the quality of that lead. Would it be fairly pure? Also, I have checked most of the major fishing supply dealers and found only molds for larger jigs. I am looking for a mold to make the smaller ice fishing jigs (hook size #10 or so). ICE_FISHING_KING, what would be the cost of having a specialty made mold? Have you ever made such a mold before. I was wondering if pouring such small jigs is even feasable/practicle? Thanks for your responses, keep them coming!------------------'Carpe Diem' does not mean 'fish of the day'
