weather woes

Recommended Posts

So I had only a handful of days after musky opener that would have been fishable, but every time I was getting my stuff together and was about to put the canoe on the car, it seemed that instantly the wind would pick up or I'd hear thunder rumbling in the distance.

I went on a vacation in Banff, CA (which was fantastic, nothing to complain about there), and came back to beautiful weather in the evening. By the time I'd checked on the pets at the apartment, it was getting dark. I figured I'd pack up my canoe and gear, and head north with the idea of getting out fishing today.

We were planning to fish afternoon and evening after weeding the garden. We got the work done this morning, and just now as we were packing a few sandwiches, thunder began to rumble in the distance, the wind picked up, and raindrops began to fall. I just feel jinxed.

Screw it, tomorrow I'm just getting up at 5 in the morning, since that's obviously the only way to avoid the bad weather.

A little piece of me is crying since i didn't call in sick this morning and hit the lake, talk about ideal conditions!

I just took a break and did a couple laps around the block to get away from this dang desk...I instantly thought the same thing as I felt the humidity and looked up at the clouds......stupid job!
