Carp fishing in North Metro

We did manage to go on Tuesday. Got there around 12 stayed until 7. Got 7 altogether. Hubby got a 12 lb. and all the rest were around 6-8 pounds. Really quiet, beautiful day!

wow pretty good day i'd say, tell me ur secrets, lol ive gone there a few times now and no luck.. lol i know you cant always catch, em but is there something im doin wrong? I hook up a swivel, tie about 1-2 ft of line then a hook stacked w/ corn, and i put a running sinker above the swivel, then i make my drag super loose, and wait for a bite.

I've struck out more times than not at the CRD this year. Last year it was on fire for carp, but I hardly even see them jumping out there at all this year.

I only went up there a few times this year but I nailed them every time. About 200 yds below the small dam. Just a sinker and hook and corn and hold on.

ya the few times i went this summer for carp, i fished by the boat launch above the dam, i heard it was a good spot, i havent had any luck there tho, and ya ill try down below the smaller dam, see how it goes
