I'm selling something on HSO-Classifieds. I was contacted by someone in mexico, would you ship it to him or do you think its a scam? He said he is willing to pay through pay pay.

If you get the payment before you ship you don't have anything to lose.

Don't believe anything that goes through Western Union or anything like that. Verify the funds first and then ship. I'd go along assuming that it was a scam, willing to cut the line at the first hint of something fishy.

They usually like to change the terms of the agreement/sale once they've got you down the road a bit.

Actually there is now a waiting period for PayPal too. If it was me, I would require the PayPal payment, then make sure everything clears , then transfer the money to my bank account, make sure that clears, then send the item.

I would bet that they won’t go for that, or you won’t even hear back

I would be reluctant myself. I would rather see the $$ and hand it to someone personally, but that is just me. Too many ways to get screwed with this kind of stuff. Not sure what you are selling, but I always try to get an "As Is" signed when it is something substantial.
