Hey Rick! How about opening a catagory for snow birds?

Here's the first entry:

I'm thinking of a Feb. 2003 trip to Cabo San Lucas or Ixtapa, Mexico. Ixtapa seems to be a little less expensive, but Cabo of course has the reputation.

Has any one fished both and got an opinion?
What(or whom)to stay away from, the open Pangas or a Cruiser, etc, etc.

Yeah I know I just opened the wise crack door with that one, but I could use some pointers before making any reservations.

P.S. Stay home and drill more holes is NOT an option.

If you want information on motels and services do a search on the web. I did this for Rocky Point in MX and found out a lot of things (all bad) about a motel we were going to stay at.

Been there, done that, and that, and that. I'm looking for a more personal outlook, like folks from MN/WIS that have done the trips, and how they went for them. I think someone posting to a BB from say, Dallas/Fort Worth will have different expectations than I would.
