herefish101
I have a 1979 75hp chrysler outboard, it has been a very reliable motor for the last 10 years that i'v owned it and back when my uncle owned it. Until last year that is when the cdi box went out. Then this year i was checking the motor over before ordering the new cdi i noticed oily water coming out of the water pump output hole(just above the cavatation plate). the water pump is new last year, i also put in all new shaft seals. Finally my question; where is the oil coming from, is this bad, does it mean the block is cracked? I'd really like some help with this as it says nothing in my sealok manual about this. Plus i dont want to buy a new cdi if the motor is junk. thank you for your help.
