think a better word is pummeled. Crazy to follow the guiding world, when I started it was Ted on Cass, the leech lake coalition, Bob.M, and not much else. I bet most guides, just guessing, but can't wait until they no longer need to guide and are still secure financially. Give em credit, very time consuming, how they pay there gas bill is beyond me going over 3 a gallon soon, family must almost take a backseat, gotta be tough. Anyway, who started this Virgil Ward theme, if I hear it in my sleep tonightI'm going to run amuck.

“From the lakes of northern Canada

To the Gulf of Mexico.

Wherever fish are biting

That's where we're going to go.

There's a lot of exciting country

Just waiting to be explored.

So join us now in the great outdoors,

The World of Virgil Ward.”

Ah, man there is that song. Ill be singing all night now. thanks.

Meyers, Ill send you one tonight or tomorrow. I bet I have at least run into to you at the bar or something.

I still remember when people thought i was crazy when I said those lakes had muskies in them. The good old days. Ah well, still good fun to be on the water. I dont know how those guides do it either. I dont feel too bad for em though.

I guess my point is that I woulnd't complain about Keyes displaying an area of Tonka that they are focusing on because there are probably 100+ different guys that already know about it.

Agreed to a point but on a lake like 'tonka there is a lot of pressure to begin with, and calling out a particular spot on the spot was a bit "over the top" for me. This one wasn't "marked" in the Hot Spots books but it is now I'm sure in the memory banks. If 100+ guys knew it, they earned it and didn't just reference a highlighted area on a map. It wasn't like they showed a known spot like Hardscrabble Point. Go East to Zimmerman's Pass if you really want to know the specifics.......pretty specific, unlike calling out the North shore sand on Mille Lacs which spreads for miles.

Good news: I saw a bunch of boats congegrate to that one area after, so in a sense it left my other areas just a 1/2 mile away wide open!

Bad news: It exposed more people that maybe were inclined to launch on the East side at Gray's to explore the West side of the lake a bit more.

I don't mean to sound negative towards Keyes at all, I guess I'm just a little protective of my areas that I've found through time and searching vs. a highlighted channel neckdown shown on a map on TV.

Man, I just need to go fishing!

LOL I loved watching Virgil Ward with my Dad, he hated Virgil Ward haha I wish we could have had video cameras in those days, Also Badfish outdoors makes 8 possible Muskie shows, how bad is that.

How many spearing shows do they have LOL; just playin, I'm not a big fan of TV fishing shows but I like a few, generally I will only watch them with my wife, I love to listen to her comment and tell them when to put the fish back (generally about 10 seconds in) like the porn to interception contrast RK pointed out, although I like to intercept while watching porn, LOL maybe I need a TV in the boat.

Sorry folks for being off topic with my posts. Is it Savre like Brett Favre? Drop me a personal note! Chances are if you see me on the water youve seen the Myers ink chances are if youve seen me in the bar its a yankees hat soon to adapt to the twins payroll! An established CPR fisherman in the area like yourself is going to get us locals to open up! Amen to the trash pick up!

I cant believe no body mentioned that salt water fishing show where the guy takes a different model out in the boat with him each episode. Nothing like watching a gal in her bikini in the fighting chair.

PS. Cjac, after the jingle wasn't there like a saying......Championship fishing with Virgil Ward, 2 time bassmaster champion of the year etc. etc. Watched a bit this weekend, Spence and Joe were still fishing together, the Keyes' guys had some baseball guys onboard Green Bay fall trolling, the Badfish guys were crankin early season walleye's with the mayfly hatch and Steve Scepaniak was reviewing past shows on outdoor logic I think it's called. I'm curious to see with this snow free March/early spring what the water temps will be come opener, June 5th feels like a loooooong ways away.

I like all these shows in January but they all get a little old by April.

All I want to know is when is Bucher gonna have the episode with that 54" that he wrote an article in MH about. That was a great way to get us to watch all of is episodes. I'm sure that he will air that one last. I can't even tell if he is in re-runs yet cause every show is exactly the same. Him and Spence and awkard fish holds. I still like Bucher though.

I was waiting to see that episode as well, guess I missed it. Probably still on the DVR though. Like Dudeness, it's the only reason I have continued to pay attention to his show. I hope he gets back to his roots next year in Northern Wisconsin.
