walleyeking19
I'm going fishing out with a friend tomorrow on a lake that is jsut a big hole in the ground. Its' deepest part is 15' and is shaped like a bowl. Earlier in the year they were getting them in the deep parts, but now they're gone. Have they moved up into shallower water? If so, how shallow should i start to look? I'm planning to drill a million holes till I find them. Also, do you think they moved into the weeds? TDH
I fish a similar lake thats 32' max depth and I usually find them in 24'-26', but recently they seem to be up shallower in the 14'-18' range.
fisherdog19
Probably looking for oxygen, look for areas of run off or water entering the lake. They also may be right under the ice and unable to be seen on the Vex, maybe try dropping a camera. Usually the shallower water has more oxygen when we melting begins.
