Check the air adjustment on the burner. Loosen the little screw a turn it till the flame just starts to flare up but you still have a nice blue flame. Only thing I can think of. Sond like when you close the door your starving it of oxygen. Sometimes they're not always set right from the factory or the screw might be loose and it moved. Good Luck.

Hi guys,

I hope you got your stove fixed. I came accross your post by looking for answers for my stove...I have the nu way 4000 and use it in a wall tent. I was wondering about putting in a damper. It is a propane stove and I am not sure if closing down that damper will cause CO2 to come back into the tent. Anyone have any thoughts? My wall tent is so air tight and I dont want to take any chances.

I have a Nu-Way stove in one of my fishhouses and I put a damper in the chimney so it will stop the heat from just shooting out of the chimney. It gets hotter now. Even when closed they have holes in them so they are not closed all of the way. Air still flows through them.
