They're Back!!

Anyone else watching the creeks,streams,and
back waters lately?? Yuppers, those long,
bodied rascals are invading the shallows.

Last night, I watched as several, hammer-
handled males, swam around a big girl that
was hunkered down. She finally got tired
of the antics, and swirled off into the
main waterway,only to swim back and settle back down on the creek's bottom. The colorings on their backs are an absolute
match to the greenish bottom.What a beautiful
fish they are.This is the one time of year,
that you can get out and see them up close
like this.

P.S. For those not in the know, we're talking
pike here!!
