high school ice fishing get together on coon lake

Recommended Posts

hey i have a little outdoor club i started at my school(anoka), and we are goin ice fishin on coon lake on saturday. we are carpoolin from the school at 10am, so we should be there by 1030-1045ish(we wont leave exactly at 10), i expect at least 20 people, really dont know exactly how many, maybe like up to 50+?? if anyone would like to come and be willing to lend equipment to people if they dont have any, or be willing to drill a few holes it'd be GREATLY appreciated. if you just want to fish with us, thats fine too haha. remember though, it is school related thing, so it'd be nice if alcohol and tobacco were kept away. especially as im somewhat responsible!!

thank you,

ryan burnham

yea i had about 15 people tell me they were backin out the night before cuz of the weather. had 5 kids come out, and then we decided to go to chisago/ south lindstrom for some bigger crappies. did pretty good, consistently caught 8-12 inch crappies out of a spot people drive by all the time!! a few mixed in perch and big gills. we're prolly gunna have another outing this weekend, as there will be a really good turnout if the weather is ok. by the way i never thought 35 could feel so cold, boy was it sleeting and must have had 20+ mph wind.
