Best Gloves...

I think your looking for some light weight liner gloves to wear when outside jigging correct? If so the best thing I have found for warmth is some thin wool liner gloves and I then cut the thumb and 3/4 of the pointer finger off. Either that or I use the cheap dollar store nylon stretch ones. Just enough to keep the wind off your hands. They are good on the warmer days the wool is the best I found on cold days.

Really nothing with fingers feels right to me when jigging.

When I'm outside I like to use a muff & hand warmer in tandem with wool mittens. The mittens that come with the slits in the palm so that you can pop your fingers out are particularly nice, although I lost one of them last winter and need to buy a new pair.

I barehand it when I'm handling a fish or minnows. There's a huge difference between trying to jam your freezing hands back into a pair of cold gloves vs. slipping them into someplace that's already warm to restore them first.

I also use a pair of rubberized Eskimo mittens for tasks that require less dexterity, like pulling the sled or drilling holes.
