I will be heading to this lake for a snow mobile/ice fishing trip. I will have 4 kids with that would like to catch some fish, whether it be some pike with tip ups or some sunnies/crappies. Last year, we tip up fished near the Namekagon river inlet by the 4 seasons resort. No luck. Just wondering where a guy could go to see a flag or two go up so the kids can catch a northern. I did notice a lack of ice houses on that lake in the winter time. I did print off a lake map this time. Anyone have a suggestion or point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Welcome to HSO Tropheus! Have not been up there in a while, but we used to always do well in Funny's Bay (Far NW corner of the lake). Good weeds for pike, have your baits about 2-3' under the ice, and stay away from tip-ups till a flag waves. We had good luck with frozen smelt. Access off of Pioneer rd south of County D (road to the left leads right to bay ... can't remember name though). Good luck!
