Shallow Lake Crappies

I fish a lake that tops out at 10 feet of water. It has lots of crappies but I can't find them in the winter time. Any suggestions?

I'm not a huge ice fisherman yet, but I'd think it would depend on a couple more things like weed growth, clarity, if the whole lake is ten or just one hole.

The lake has an average depth of 6-8 feet with a 10 foot hole in one spot. Is that where I should turn it into swiss cheese?

if there is a any vegitation around this 10ft area thats where i would sit...being that there will be more oxygen, cover, and food in this area...dont make swiss cheese of the area though once you found a spot that you like, and being that this sounds like the only major structure on the lake i would start with minnows, but also try wax worms...bring the fish to you....im guessing they are already there
