gunflint
How technical is putting carb kits into oil injected Evinrudes? I've done several chainsaws but never an oil injected outboard. Early and late in the season and a few times during the summer the motor doesn't want to run at full throttle for several minutes until I screw around with the throttle. And just for some excitement while running at say 2500 to 3000 rpm she'll just take off on her own. This only happens when the throttle is in the full position but it's only running at half. boatfixer
Simple to do. All the mixing is done prior to the carb in the fuel pump. It sounds like a fuel issue and by rebuilding the carb you will certainly eliminate that from the list of possible problems.
BoxMN
Make sure you put the float in right side up... I know that one from experience doh! It is easy to do - both the kit itself, but also mixing things up if doing it too quickly, ha! But really it is easy job, even for me...
