I am starting my irrigation installation and was wondering what kind of back flow preventers everyone is using? I have a well so not sure if there is different rules compared to with city water?

I don't think there are any different rules in Wyoming, but check with the city to make sure. I use Wilkins, they have brass bonnets, not plastic like Febco and Watts. Any of them will perform well enough but if you do go with a febco make sure you take out the guts every winter and place them in a plastic bag to prevent cracking of the rubber seal. Good luck.
