04 polaris 600 starting problem?

Just took my sled out up north this weekend. Like the goofball that I am, I let it warm up with the gas turned off. By the time I had figured it out, I had already put in two new plugs. After turning gas back on and getting it going, it didn't want to start without giving it throttle. It never did this before. Once running, it runs like a gem. If I give it just a little throttle, it starts with one pull. If I don't give it throttle, it will start sometimes, other times it won't. I can't figure out what the heck the problem could be as it makes no sense? Any input?

how long did you run it after you ran it dry? sounds like it got air in the lines and carb to me. i would run it for awhile and see what happens

I ran it 175 miles. It ran absolutely perfect. It's just that, when I would stop for a stretch, it didn't want to start unless I gave it a little throttle. It's the goofiest thing I've come across.

thy cleaning out your carbs or running some sea foam in it.. mine did the same thing except it wouldnt ron at full throttle.. also try non ethonal gas.
