Joebue
Gentlemen, Some friends and I will be in the Detroit Lakes area from the 24th through the 30th. I was wondering how the fish were biting. Are they spawning yet? Any information or tips you could give would be greatly appreciated. We are thinking about trolling mostly, but we are open to try anything that will be productive. Thanks. Good luck to all!
Scott M
Welcome to FishingMinnesota Joe. Try posting your question in the Detroit Lakes forum,http://www.fishingminnesota.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/forums/11/1/Detroit_Lakes_Pelican_Rapids_AYou may be timing things just right as water temperatures are still a bit cool in northern Minnesota and most spawning activities are a week or two behind. I can only say I've caught a handful of crappies trolling and they were bycatch in that instance. Casting or using floats shallow might be a good bet still at the end of the month.Good luck on your trip. D.L. is a great area...self-proclaimed sunfish capitol of the world!
