eyehead
Anyone heard any pro's or con's on this stuff?? I like Suffix but seen this stuff in a BPS catalog and thought about giving it a try on a couple reels.
Esox_Magnum
My buddy just spooled up a reel with it hes happy, I have it on a walleye crank rod and like it as well. Time comes to respool a muskie reel I'll give it a shot. I have heard nothing bad about it yet.
b1gf1sh1
it's new. i was gonna try it, but now i don't know. i could buy it and hate it then have to go buy super braid and wish i would have dumped the 20 bucks in the tank instead. i think i'll wait a year or two and read reviews. recession? what recession? big thing will be whether it hold's up and does'nt fray easily. we'll see mabe i'll get the 30# and try that. i use original spiderwire for that and it frays easy. can't be any worse. i just like it for distance as it gives me the most on my 250 TE/DC
Tim_Anderson
I've heard some good things about it (from a guy who is a walking encyclopedia of fishing gear knowledge...he knows about everything, and tries everything...esp. if it can be used for muskies!) and it made me curious so I ordered some. No personal experience with it yet, but it won't be long!
polarsusd81
If it is anything like the regular Spiderwire, I will most likely be spooling it up on a couple casting rods for bass this year. I have three rods that could use some fresh braid. For braid, I typically get two or three seasons on it, depending on use of the particular rod. 10,000 Casts
Ultracast came out last year. It has a smaller diameter than old Spiderwire and it packs solid. It's smoother, you'll see what I mean when you cast it. Invisibraid just means that it's Crystal.
b1gf1sh1
theres my dilema. does ultra cast really cast better than the original? if it does then is it at least as durable as the original? the original has pretty bad durability for river fishing so if it's worse i will pass. so what's the skinny on ultra-cast vs. original i guess is my question? HugoBox
What do you think of the flame green Suffix? They advertise that it glows under a black light - could come in handy when night fishing. But thinking back to the "black light" days in college, maybe I don't want to go that route...
slipperybob
I'm thinking, Crystal braid???
Fordo
I use SpiderWire Invisi Braid and let's just say after I spooled it up on my calcutta. I will probably never spool anything eles on it ever again. Its awesome and def worth the extra $
