pretty slow weekend, but sunday afternoon i decided to make a move if nothing was seen within 45 minutes.

saw 7 more nice ones on the camera, but i was trying minnows or minnow parts at the time and they weren't interested.

the one closest to the auger was a fat 13"

Very nice fish...I couldn't find anything worth keepable saturday. Caught a lot of perch and stayed on top of them but the fish were only about 7-8" long.

7 or 8 inches? those were monsters compared to what we saw saturday. watched thosands on the camera, but only saw 1 that would have been a keeper.

Slow go, but at least you got enough for a small meal.

We managed 7 keepers on Mille Lacs Sunday, we only fished for a couple hours, really had to work them into biting, they were all over on the screen but not really interested in biting. A couple were really nice. Then we headed to a crappiesunfish bite for the afternoon and did pretty poor on a lake near Baxter.

As the case is always you guys should have been there a day or two earlier. On Friday my brother and I went up and things started out slow with only two 9 inchers being caught in two hours. Then in the next two hours we picked up four in the 10 1/2 to 11 1/2 inch range. At about 11:00 I had all I could do to keep my lines in the water for roughly 10 to 15 minutes as I caught 12 perch right around 11 inches then my lines got tangled and by the time I got them back down the bite for the most part was all over. In that time I tried yelling at my brother to drill holes near me, due to the immense wind that day he never heard a word and all he could muster was a lonely 11 incher. When he came to check on me later he could not believe what he saw in my bucket he was within 30 yards or so and had one bite. The rest of the day we managed a few more and then at 4:30 everything seemed to shut down as far as biters go. For the day we actually only managed 30 perch but, 23 of them were over the 10 1/2inch mark with the rest being 9 incher and little under 9.

Perch are certainly a good time...but you have to try and stay on them as much as possible!

I had a bunch on the camera but they would jolt in a hurry!

yeah we tried staying on top we had fifty plus holes drilled in all directions just couldn't find the eaters afterwards. Wish we could of though it could have been great.
