wind and cold ---- week end warm up?

was on the lake today..zippo...4 loactions between 2 lakes... does the wind make a difference on the ice? also it was -1 and every one is exited to fish this week end "it's going to warm up" does this make a big difference too? read the stuff about the barametor --seems to make sence.

This cold front has really slowed down fishing for all the people I've talked to. Fished two different lakes and got next to nothing. This weekend warm up should get the fish eating again.

I did fairly well today even with the cold front condtiions.

I hammered some 3-4 inch crappies...

haven't ever caught so many teeny weeny fiddy's sooo small...

Couldn't figure it out until I switched to some waxy's and then used the smallest of jigs and finally hooked them.

The old adage is, "Wind from the East, fish bite the least. Wind from the West, fish bite best" and it seems to hold fairly true.The cold front really did shut em down some. Always does. That is when I downsize dramatically and finesse the jigging.

fished bald eagle all week and i had the same problem with the iddy biddy crappies, couldn't get away from them going out again tonight to try some new spots

it's suposed to rain this weekend so gotta get all the fishin in as possible
