I have a Shimano ACS Iron baitcasting reel which is a couple years old. I am starting to have some issues with casting distance and I think the reel may need a good cleaning or regreasing. Can anyone tell me what normal maintenance should be on one of these reels or baitcasters in general. I have never opened a baitcaster before so this will be new for me. I was told to go in with a toothpick and clean out whatever I can. I also picked up a tube of reel grease to lube everything up.
Does anyone else have suggestions??? I would really like to get this reel back into peak shape. Thanks.
Nice to finally meet you tonight. Make sure you tell me who you are again next time you come in. I will probably forget.
Let me know when you are dropping in again and I'll make sure we have more of those beverages around!
This northern boy needs a little help with this one.
Dried up kill hole in the duck timber?
Quicksand that all the deer fell into?
Cool lighting in a forest that’s so different from ours?
I’ve never been in the AR woods before but you’ve arrived by the looks of it.
Good luck.
