Remy
I bought a new house this winter and my back yard has clover leaf problem. Theres patchs of them all over and it looks pretty bad. 85% of the yard is still fine but right in the middle of the yard theres patchs of them all over. I've never really had this problem before so I'm cluessless on how to get rid of them. Any ideas?
Shack
I spray treat lawn for clover once a year. Maybe twice. I get a hose end sprayer and put in clover preventer liquid (green small bottle from local home improvment store) and coat lawn per what directions state. I have had great results with this. Good luck!
Remy
Thanks for the tip I'll pick some up tonight. Do you know off hand if it's pet friendly?
Shack
I would assume so. I think it will state "do not let children or pets in area of treament for 24 hours" or something to that affect. What is cool about it, is clover will start to die off in about a week or two. You can see it. I have not done it to mine this year yet. I have a couple of bottles left from last year. I just lime treated yard last week before rain and a week or two before that I fertilized with crab grass preventor. I did notice a couple of small patch's of lcover sprouting up here and there last time I mowed, so it time to spray for them. Good Luck!
