Marcum LX3tc battery/charger

ice_it_06

Question

My battery on my LX3 only has about 100 (inside perm) hours on it. Acted funny today showing a 60% charge rate after only 2 hours of operation on a full charge. Started seeing lines tracking "counter clock wise" on the face. I turn it "off" it would read 100% within a half hour of no use ?

Upon getting home it showed 100% charge after only 60% when I left the lake ? I plugged in the DCS and it showed only a 40% charge and after 1 1/2 hours it has climbed to a flashing 70% as of now. If I unplug the DCS it shows a 100% charge ?

I charge it after every use and I have never had any issues with it the week or so its been used since new last year.

How does the DCS remove from the battery, I have another battery I'm going to use tomorrow but cant get this DCS off as it will not pull off the battery without feeling like I'll break the DCS......

Thanks for any help !!

The DCS is connected to the battery by a double back sticker kind of deal. Don't be afraid to pull it off. You are correct in your diagnosis as it sounds like your battery is going. One thing to remember is if you aren't going to be using the unit for a while you should disconnect the DCS charging system as it will eventually run down and toast your battery.

Paul:

Thanks for the reply on the DCS removal. I didn't want to horse the thing off as its really secure.

I was victim of having the DCS hooked up since I bought the LX3tc last Feb. I only used it about 4 hours last year. Mid summer I read on the forum here the DCS needs to be disconnected over long idle periods. I did so mid summer and only topped it off at every months end. Worked fine my first six days out and charged correct. But today it started showing these gremlins. I hope its not toast but the operation, reading, and charging has been funky today.

I'll use the other one a few days and see whats up !!

    • Luxury RV camping has become increasingly popular in recent years as people look for ways to enjoy the great outdoors while still enjoying the comforts of home. With the right equipment and preparation, luxury RV camping can be a truly unforgettable experience. In this essay, we will provide you with the ultimate guide to luxury RV camping, including tips on choosing the right RV, selecting the best campsite, and packing for your trip.   The first step to planning a luxury RV camping trip is to choose the right RV. There are a variety of different types of RVs available, ranging from small and compact trailers to large and luxurious motorhomes. The right RV for you will depend on your budget, your travel plans, and your personal preferences.   One popular option for luxury RV camping is a Class A motorhome. These motorhomes are typically the largest and most luxurious RVs available, with spacious interiors, full kitchens, and even multiple bathrooms. They often come equipped with high-end features such as leather upholstery, flat-screen televisions, and high-quality audio systems. Class A motorhomes are also the most expensive type of RV, but they offer the ultimate in comfort and luxury.   Another popular option for luxury RV camping is a fifth wheel trailer. These trailers are typically larger than travel trailers and are designed to be towed by a pickup truck. They offer many of the same amenities as Class A motorhomes, including full kitchens, multiple bathrooms, and high-end features such as surround sound systems and flat-screen televisions. Fifth wheel trailers are often less expensive than Class A motorhomes but still offer a high level of comfort and luxury.   Once you have chosen the right RV for your luxury camping trip, the next step is to select the perfect campsite. There are a variety of different types of campsites available, ranging from basic, no-frills campsites to high-end RV resorts with all the amenities. When selecting a campsite, it is important to consider your budget, your travel plans, and your personal preferences.   If you are looking for a truly luxurious camping experience, consider staying at an RV resort. These resorts often offer a wide range of amenities, including swimming pools, hot tubs, fitness centers, and even golf courses. They also typically offer high-end services such as concierge service, valet parking, and room service. RV resorts can be expensive, but they offer the ultimate in luxury and comfort.   If you are looking for a more affordable camping experience, consider staying at a state or national park. These parks offer a variety of different campsites, ranging from basic tent sites to RV sites with electrical and water hookups. While state and national parks may not offer the same level of luxury as RV resorts, they do offer the opportunity to experience the natural beauty of the outdoors.     Once you have chosen the perfect RV and campsite, the final step is to pack for your luxury camping trip. When packing for a luxury RV camping trip, it is important to focus on comfort and convenience. Pack clothing that is appropriate for the weather and activities you have planned, as well as comfortable shoes for hiking and exploring.   In addition to clothing, it is important to pack all the essentials you will need for your trip. This includes bedding, towels, toiletries, and any medications or other personal items you may need. It is also important to pack food and drinks, as well as any cooking supplies you will need for meals. If you are camping in the cold weather, bring the Ocoopa Union 5s rechargeable hand warmers are easy to use for camping.
