Green Bay muskies?

Havent had the pleasure to fish Green Bay for 'skis yet, but from what I have been hearing, this fall has been great for most anglers. Hoping to monkey around down there a bit next season... Fishing there should consistantly improve throughout the years!!

My family has been going to Door County since before I was born. But in the end of august when the fishing is not all that good except for smallies and walleys at night.

We fish Sherwood Point past Sawyer Harbor down past Potowatami state park. In August it is best with a Northwest wind but in late fall I don't know if that would matter. Casting inline spinners, spinnerbaits and Jerkbaits are all good ideas and I am not sure what colors this time of year but silver and black and orange and black have worked for us. I wouldn't hesitate to go into Sawyer Harbor up into 5 feet. But with the low water for the last number of years, it has turned that bay into muck. But the mouth can be very good also. I am sure that trolling could produce along the Rock shoreline and in the channel. The cool thing about that area is that you have a chance at catching just about anything. But I know that there are a lot of quality spots on Green Bay and hopefuly some can post some info. Oh ya, alot of Tiger Muskies in that area and I hear that the spotted muskies are getting to more prevalent.

Just some thoughts.

Thanks 10,000 casts for the info. I havent been on this site for awhile, but I went up the day after thanksgiving to Fox river. Put in at the mouth of the river where it dumps into green bay. Trolled from 11 that morning till 8 that night without a thing. Talked with others at the dock and it seemed that no one was getting any thing.
