Guest
I live right on the crow river between buffalo and montrose. ive been fishing for most of my life. and i must say for a small river it does put out a hell of a lot of fish. during the summer it wasnt common for me and a friend to float the river and catch 20 or 30 cats with a few smallies and walleys thrown in the mix. as for size the i have caught a few in the 13lb range and have heard of 20lbers coming out of there. its a good place to take the kids fishing its always produced alot of fish for me. If ur gonna fish it though i would recommend floating there arrent a whole lot of good bridges to fish from. if any one has any questions about the crow i would be happy to try and answer them for you. good luck and good fishing

DTro
Mr Special. I was tipped off on that dam and it quickly became my favorite spring and fall spot even now that I have a boat. Couple years back in the fall I caught more crappies then I care to mention....it was sick. I've seen quite a few cats caught right at the dam there. If you go there in the spring the carp are great fun. I caught a 25" walleye there some opener ago. I've also caught northern and smallmouth there. Aquaman01
Pikeslayer - Welcome, and thanks! I stopped at a park about 4 miles south of Buffalo that looks nice for the family, and I couldn't tell under the snow, but there may have been a launch there. Do you know the one of which I'm referring? I forget the name. Is that location any good?------------------Aquaman< )/////><{"I think we're gonna need a bigger boat." Mr Special
dtro,Crappies is the one species I haven't caught yet on the Crow. I've always heard they were in there but never caught them. I quess when your usually using cut bait and going for cats, crappies tend not to bite. Was there any size to them, I also heard they're good size. We should meet up this spring.Good luck
