canned salsa

Salsa is the easiest thing to make in the world.

Bowl water in a kettle. Put 4-5 tomatos in the water for a short while, take them out and take off the skins. Cut tomatos is large chunks if you want tomatos to scoop later. Chop up peppers and onions. Put tomatos, peppers, onions in a ketter and stew. Add Cilantro. Cilantro is the key ingredient. Spice to taste with everything else. If too juicy, add cans of tomato paste to thicken. Considering adding crushed red pepper and jalepenos to get it to your degree of hotness. Add black pepper, salt, Nature's seasoning, italian seasoning etc.

I don't have exact amounts as each batch we make is a bit different but all tastes real close and is way better than store-bought. Note, we don't add preservatives, so freeze what you don't use. Stuff lasts 4-14 days in the refrigerator after dethawing depending on how long it sits out. We freeze in Cool Whip bowls and vacuum-pack.
