fishlips
I have a few northern fillets to pickle. I always have removed the rib bones in the past (y-bones don't matter), but I was wondering if removing the rib bones is necessary. Any thoughts? The lake I fish in Ottertail county is FULL of rockbass. I plan on trying to pickle a few of them along with the northerns.I have a very good pickeling recipe that is a combination of some of the pickeling recipes that I have ran across in the past. I will post it soon (I need to find it!).
BAIT956
No need to remove any of the bones. The vinegar will dissolve them all. I just fillet them, cut into bite size pieces, and pickle 'em up.
