Bucktail reel

Just looking for opinions on the best bucktail reel for the money. I really do not want to spend much more than $100 but don't know if that is realistic.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Garcia 6500C3 is going to be your best option in that range

Stop in at Thorne Brothers. Right now, they have a bunch of Garcia reels on sale that would be right up your alley.

I use the C4's as well as the C3's. Blade style tends to make a difference as to which reel I grab. The C3's with the lower ratio are better with colorade style and or heavy bucktails meant for slow working, while the C4's have a 6:3:1 ratio better for burning bucktails over the weeds or willow bladed bucktails.

Check out the Abu Garcia Record. It's geared like a Calcutta and perfect for bucktails. It's has only one knob on the handle but is very large for cranking. I got on this year and I love it
