Recommended Posts

The 3rd Annual Lake Minnewaska Fall Walleye Classic will be held Sept. 16-17 in Glenwood, MN. The field is limited to 75 teams with the first place payout of $6,000 guaranteed. Entry fee is $350 per team. Full payout schedule is as follows: 1st--$6,000 guaranteed; 2nd--$3,000; 3rd--$2,000; 4th--$1,500; 5th--$1,350; 6th--$1,200; 7th--$1,000; 8th--$700; 9th--$600; 10th--$500; 11th through 15th--$350. Prize payouts for 16th through 23rd place. Prize payouts consist of anchors, dryware parka and bib combos, competitor series life jackets, etc. Prize payouts valued between $150 and $350. Fish with a buddy or team up with your wife or son as there is also 3 divisions within the tournament. 1) Husband/wife or boyfriend/girlfriend division; 2)Father/son or daughter division; 3)Senior division (both anglers age 55 or over). All teams, including divisional teams, fish for the overall cash and prize payouts, while divisional teams fish only against other teams in their division to win an additional $450 cash. Multiple winners are possible. Last year's 2005 overall winner was the Father/Son team of Tim and Josh Schoeck who collected four checks overall. One for winning the tournament, another for winning the Father/Son division, and they collected big fish checks both days of the tournament! Based on partner status, teams are automatically placed in the divisions at no additional cost. As stated, divisional teams fish for the overall cash and prize payouts listed, but only against teams in their division to win the added cash. The 2006 Lake Minnewaska Fall Walleye Classic will be filmed in its entirety by professional photographers and featured in an outdoor show to air on Fox Sports Net North in March of 2007. Here's an excellent opportunity to gain exposure and to build your portfolio for future sponsors. There will be a free hog roast for all team members following the weigh-ins on Day 1. There is an optional $20 big walleye pot with 100% payback. Half the pot will be awarded to the Day 1 biggest walleye, with the other half of the pot awarded to the Day 2 biggest walleye. Since 1999, the Minnewaska Lake Association has privately stocked over 600,000 six to 12-inch walleye fingerlings in the lake. Substantial year classes were also noted in 1999, 2001 and 2003 either through fry stocking or natural reproduction. A limited number of openings remain for this tournament. For more information and to register, email: [email protected] or call 320-424-1382. Rules meeting is Friday, Sept. 15 at the Minnewaska House at 7 p.m. Tournament hours are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 16 and 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 17.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
