Transom Saver Question

How snug should my transom saver be when hooked up to my lower unit? I have the transon saver connected to my trailer frame.

Just needs to rest on it. Slight pressure.

Once it is resting in the saver grab the skag and pull out if it is loose or lifts away from the saver then just a bit tighter.

do you have a transom savor with a spring? I have one with a spring, and will depress the spring with the tilt about 25 percent. this has worked great for me.
