cubbies11
I am a student at the U and am looking to do some fishing without a boat. I want to try for some cats after reading up a bit on them I know what kinda rig I wanna use, now I just need a spot. I was thinking of trying the river right on campus but would also like to catch some fish to eat...any ideas? I heard the crow is decent...where could I start? Any other info is greatly appreciated. Guest
I am quite certain we have less eating restrictions in town than there is on the Crow.. I would check in at the DNR site and there should be some info on the areas you intend to fish.Good luck!
crowriverfisher
Cubbies i would have to so the crow river is perfect for someone who doesnt quite no what there doing. Just about any backwater or eddy contains catfish in the crow. I would use (if you dont want to go out and invest in cat equipment) just like a bass rod or if thats not an option a stout walleye rod and 10+ lb line some worms and a knife. Chances are you'l catch a carp rehorse etc... slice it up into poker chips sizes put it on and your ready to go. If you need a spot theres a park by the Millside tavern in saint micheal.
