Lowrance locks up??

OK heres whats up. We have a Lowrance LMS 480M depthfinder on our boat and every once in awhile the screen just "locks" up. The depth doesn't change and the gps part doesn't show that you're moving but the screen stays on. It's not a huge deal since it only will happen a few times a year and all we do is turn it off then back on and it works. Just wondering if any of y'all have had this problem and what you did to solve it. Thanks in advance.

Annoying isn't it? They had a glitch in the software on some of the early units. Contact Lowrance costumer service and they will send you a chip to download to fix the problem. No charge if you return it in the proper time. Gander might have one also or might do it in the store. It takes about 30 secs.
