H2O problem

I bought this unit last winter and it worked good.This unit this summer seems to be very slow and on any cloudy day will not pick up any signal to lock into the sattelite.Do they always not work with cloudy days or is everyone eles working cloudy or not?Last 10 times out fishing wanted to mark spots and it wont work,always searching for sattelite,so I figure mines bad or the unit isnt worth a darn thing,as it hardly ever works.And yes the batteries are good and also have tried on the 12 volt battery in the boat.

If you want check something, go to your operating instructions book. On page 68 you should find External Passive Antenna chapter. Use these instructions to see if you unit is receiving a signal. Also Lowrance has a warning about leaving GPS's on the dash or in the direct sunlight of a closed vehicle.
