Polar Bear
Gonna spend 3 days in a sleeper house without a good way to recharge the flasher battery. I can jumper a full sized 12 volt car battery to the unit but I'm wondering if this will last the 30 or so hours I'll be fishing?
Perch-N-Eyes
On a 3-day trip, I used the 12-volt from my boat to run my auger, which uses up more power than a flasher. I took extra care to keep it warm though. Other options are:1) Take along 2 12-volt 7.2amp flasher batteries, which cost around $20.2) They also make a 12-volt/12amp battery which obviously will last longer than a 7.2amp.3) If you have a vehicle, you could use a power converter plugged into the cigarete lighter, to then plug a battery charger into, to recharge the flasher battery (with the car running).Just take care to keep them warm when not in use.Good luck, and happy fishing.
