lake, wetland or river?

I have limited time to pursue these winged wonders of the north...so....what do you think is my best bet? I usually hit a shallow wetland thats accessable with waders..as I do not have a good duck boat, not to mention the waters is getting alittle nippy. Significant shrinkage! I've checked out the Sherburne wildlife refuge...near Big Lake because I've been working up that way this past week. That got me thinking that maybe the mighty Mississip would be a good idea...but I would need to access an area with waders..and cant tell on a map where I can and cant hunt. Wow..this post got out of hand quickly. As the usual post script goes.....any help would be great!! Good luck out there.
