Trout opener- West Branch/Deep Quary

I started fishing Saturday morning at 6:30. By 7:30 I had my limit(5). The fish were all caught on a 1/80 ounce jig tipped with spikes fished under a small float about a foot and a half down. The fish ranged from 14" to just over 16". I did see a few caught that went close to 18". If you guys(and gals)have never tried this its a lot of fun. Bring the kids! You do need to purchase an inland trout stamp. Hurry......most of the fish are caught within a week or two.

Hey Dances!
I had forgotten about this little bonus fishing opportunity. Boy that is some small jig! Thanks for the tips! Hopefully people will get out and try this out. I think there is a forest preserve lake in Lake County that also stocks the trouts. I want to say it is called Bananna lake near Hawley and Fairfield roads (?).
