Roughfisher
West St. Paul - you'd best look at the Mississippi. Look for slow water. That part of the Miss is full of awesome carp opportunities. Corn is a very good carp bait, but so are nightcrawlers. Sometimes they want the corn and sometimes the nightcrawlers. They also will take bread dough. Mix it with French Dressing for extra appeal. Good luck! Hope you and your son have a blast catching the worlds #1 game fish!
SCUMFROG
I don't know the river that good. Were would be a good spot. I was thinking down off of Lilly Dale road under the high bridge. Or that lake that is down there.(Don't know the name of it.) Do you know any thing about it?
Mr Special
SCUMFROG,Not sure what the name of the lake is, but it's located on the west side on Rice St just south on HWY36. There is a park, picnic area, fishing pier and launch. There is the usual sunnies, crappies, bass, bullheads and CARP. Just north of the fishing pier about 75yrds you'll notice a small drainage pipe. In the morning and evening they'll be right there in the little channel. But if you cast out from shore there you pretty much can't go wrong. I'ld used corn or crawlers, on bottom or bobber.Hope this helps and have funGood luck
