Carp hook using corn

When you use corn for carp, what type of hook do you use?

Thin, gold hooks allways worked for me-- I haven't used one of those fancy "hair rigs" as I don't have the patience or time to make em. If someone knows where you can buy pre-made hair-rigs it'd be nice.. and I may give it a shot...

Use a hair rig with 4 or 5 grains of corn, or substitute one grain for a piece of yellow foam (the last grain on the 'hair'!!) to pop it up of the bottom a couple of inches, the carp can spot it better.
